A Life Without Capture Minnesota
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.” Helen Keller
Remember to look for newly opened doors as CM closes. There are so many new things to do in life and you will find new passions with your photography if you only look.
Missing the Flight
I truly enjoyed the shimmering skeins of the silky milkweed plant as they lasted in their season. The beauty is past and most have taken their flight beneath the Minnesota cold of winter.
I will miss them but know they will be starting anew when the spring season allows. They will once again flourish in the ditches and roadways of their short lives.
Capture Minnesota is also taking flight. Little do we know what will become of our wonderful Minnesota group and the participants that have grown through friendships and the sharing of their passions.
The closing will leave me knowing there will be new and exciting choices that will offer us many opportunities in the art of our photography. But, I will be pulled away from the many hours spent here and those that have shared their work and life on this site. It has always been the people here that have kept me grounded.
I hope many will take this opportunity to move on with the many exciting things life offers. But my wish is that there will still be friendships both old and new that will carry on. So take flight, look for all that life offers and appreciate all you have learned. Thanks to the administration and the many here that have made my life so enjoyable. You are a very special group of people.
Even more beautiful with ice clinging to it and tiny snowballs surrounding it.
The Winter White and the Bright
What more can you ask for but a bright, orange bike filling the garden white in the wintertime.
Before the Snow
I think this place would be even more charming with snow but I have a feeling I will never be able to find it again.
Meeting Anniversary Rose
This lovely rose is from a bouquet my husband got me for our anniversary on November 5th. ....not our wedding anniversary but from the day we met.....47 years ago. What a lucky day that was for me.
Timeless Beauty by Nature
The kind of beauty to surround yourself with at the end of our beautiful and most colorful season.
One more day to get your goodies for the trick or treaters that may appear at your door tomorrow night. Better have treats ready or you know what can happen. Happy Halloween everyone!!
It appears this 'Fall' will be quite short. I'm so glad we have this colorful roll of trees in our backyard to enjoy whenever we are outside.
Red Beauty is in the Trees
So great to be out in the woods yesterday with the trees changing such beautiful colors.I especially love the red colors.
There are so many wonderful places to discover in Minnesota, especially along the winding, country roads or the 'dead end' streets. I enjoy finding the wildlife in the nature centers and the different landscapes that abound in the wetlands and country. Through photography, I have learned and discovered so many things about Minnesota that I would have missed.
I hope you visit my website, "www.sharonsserendipity.com and see my photos and read "My Thoughts" regarding other things I think about in my life.
