Moonrise Over Lake Pepin
A full moon rises over Lake Pepin.
When March arrives and the temperatures start teasing with the "above freezing" ranges, Lake Pepin begins a circular process of thawing and refreezing. As it does, the edges of the lake push up from the movement of the Mississippi River causing fascinating ice formations along it's shore.

Sailboat in the Fog
This particular morning I showed up to capture what was turning out to be a very colorful sunrise but it wasn't long before a dense fog bank settled in making a view of the sun impossible. But with every door that is shut, a window is opened and I was was able to capture this lone boat on Lake Pepin.
Morning After the Flood

I'm Minnesota born and bred and have been doing landscape photography for over 20 years. I am still learning and enjoying!
I love many types of landscapes including sunrises/sunsets, light painting, bright color, black and white, and long exposure. Minnesota is my inspiration and she never lets me down!
