A public dock on the shore of Lake Pepin in Lake City. This photograph was taken after dark with a 2 minute exposure. The brightness of the dock is caused by a lone streetlight a couple hundred feet to the right. The bright portion on the right horizon is the lights from Wabasha.
This elevated wooden path in Frontenac State Park takes the hiker safely above the marshy landscape to a hidden beach along Lake Pepin.
New Years Sunset
Southeastern Minnesota farm in winter. Taken on New Years Day 2011. It was cold. It was windy. It was definitely Minnesota in winter!
After the Rain
We drove through the rain all the way to the North Shore on this particular day. When we arrived at our location it was almost dusk but the clouds began to part and the sun started to come out. The color saturations were fantastic and the after-the-rain fresh air added to the mood. This shot was the result.
Lake Superior at Dusk

Mississippi Elm Panoramic
This elm tree is locally "famous" and has been the site of many a photograph of Lake Pepin. Located along highway 61 just as you enter Lake City from the north, it's easily accessible and is a completely different subject depending on the time of year and the level of the lake and river. This was taken in early March.

Path Through the Field
A path wanders through a field of corn in southeastern Minnesota.
I'm Minnesota born and bred and have been doing landscape photography for over 20 years. I am still learning and enjoying!
I love many types of landscapes including sunrises/sunsets, light painting, bright color, black and white, and long exposure. Minnesota is my inspiration and she never lets me down!
