It's a dismal, gloomy job;this guarding sheep. Oh bother, every now and then I get to kick the tar out of a snarly coyote.
Cozy Warm In Minnesota
Seeing sheep in a field has always been a pleasant sighting for me. I enjoy thinking of the woolen items; socks, purses, blankets and sweaters that their generosity provides. It is encouraging that we can still purchase woolen items 'made in Minnesota'. On this photo I took a tip from Steve Schneider; a part of the image possibly being more interesting than showing the whole group of wooly animals that had stopped to watch my actions.
More FISH Pictures?
"Mom, Mom, can you come out to the barn and take a picture of my fish?" Really? We must have 50 pictures of unidentified fish, taken in the heat of excitement from having fished successfully. Let's try a portrait of one lucky fella!
Is there room on earth for one more little 'snow angel with a fur hat'?
Go In Peace. . .Old Granary
We take moments to pause and reflect as we move on around the circle we know as 'life'.
Turning The Page
Always hard to let go, say good-bye or move on. With respect for the past, we hold out hope for the future of our lands and countryside.
Sweet Little Gentleman
The Downy Woodpeckers rarely seem in a hurry. They twist their pretty heads this way and that to stay aware. . .yet don't fly off.
Trimmed In Fur
Magical, you say? Ah, yes, the Hydrangea leaves have turned to fur trimmed hats; fit for ladies of the town.
Rich tones of crimson, gold and pomegranate remain, for beauty's sake, among still winter leaves of rose. The frost does even more thy beauty grow.
Frost on the Rose Hips
A frosty morning is a magical time to walk among the rose garden and view the crystalline trim.
Live, play and create in southwest Minnesota. I am blessed with a patient husband, three married children with families and a college kid. All lovable and above average, of course! Country living is as full and rich as you make it in this day. Peace and quiet are abundant and one never tires of viewing the night sky or hearing the wildlife sounds. I have always enjoyed designing, artistic travel adventures, reading, writing and learning new things. Photography fits right in and keeps me growing with the whole creative process it requires. Each year, first weekend in October, you can enjoy visiting and shopping with artisans among the Minnesota River Valley during the Meander Art Crawl. We host 8 artists and hundreds of visitors at the RedBarn.
