A Special Bond
My daughter volunteers at We Can Ride and has bonded with several of their horses. I was fortunate to capture one of those moments.
Icing on the flowers
A foggy, cloudy day resulted in some amazing frost covered plants. It may have been windy and cold but still enjoyable to be out seeing natures artwork all around.
Soaring With a Redtail
A red-tailed hawk enjoying a beautiful fall day directly overhead. As it turned to begin circling the area the angle makes it feel as though I'm right there next to it.
Reflecting on the Days Changes
Each day brings different ice formations with cold days interrupted by a brief warm up.
NexGen Sandhill Crane
This new model comes with two engines and more landing gear for a faster ride and smoother landing. Extra fuel capacity is also standard with this upgrade.
Finding A Place To Eat
How did the fish get in this eagles mouth while flying? I watched as this one flew from the water to this tree making a quick stop on the ground to switch the fish from its talons to it mouth before finding a perch.
Cool Fall Morning
The rising sun highlighted the frost outlining this leaf.
Frosty Morning Sunrise
After many, many days of clouds producing rain and snow the forecast finally called for a sunny day with a cool start. A perfect opportunity to take in whatever remaining fall colors still lingered. A beautiful way to begin the day!
Milkweed seeds decorated in beautiful ice crystals
Crane Town Pop up
Witnessing thousands of sand hill cranes coming into to roost during the fall migration at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. A brief break in the clouds brought amazing colors to an already incredible scene.
Being able to go out and enjoy our surroundings is such a privilege. Using a camera to take it in provides motivation to get away from my comfortable cave and see it in unique ways. What a great hobby!
