Reds And Yellows
A day's garden harvest of red cherry and yellow pear tomatoes ready to be washed and processed. With some savory additions they cook down into a tasty sauce. They are stored away in the freezer and used to brighten drab winter days.
Yellow Among The Green
This single patch of totally yellow leaves on an otherwise green tree caught my eye while on the deck swatting at mosquitoes.
Late Summer Leaf
These leaves were seen under a maple tree displaying very early autumn color. No color enhancement used!
While visiting Joyce at Redwood Area Hospital the very early fall color on this maple in the parking area really caught my eye.

Just for comparison the previous record rainfall for Redwood Falls for the month of August was set in 1981 at 8.37". This storm produced more rain in 24 hours than the previous record for the entire month. Lots of flooded basements in Redwood Falls.
As upside down cakes go, it is usually pineapple. Joyce found a recipe for this one; pear walnut upside down cake. It put a smile on our dinner guests' faces.
Won't Be Long Now!
We've been waiting for all of the tomatoes on the Russian black krim to ripen and now the time is near. These are really the ultimate in heirloom tomatoes.
The skillfully done masonry work in this CCC built shelter in Ramsey Park is very eye-catching.
