This is the essence of summer day , in my minds eye. :)
Humming Bird Abstract
Took this photo out my bedroom window, played with some filters. I kinda like the result :)
Busy Bee 2
Fun capturing this guy yesterday, a sure sign summer is on it's way.
Busy bee day :)
It was a r great day for busy bees at Purgetory Park in Eden Prairie today :) I think this one might be tip toeing away :)
Just breathtaking birds
"You are never to small to soar with the Eagles"
I was in Eden Prairie tonight and got tos see these birds flying together. The Red Winged blackbird was actually riding on the eagles wings for a little bit :)
After the rain
Minnesota is the most beautiful place no matter what the season. I waited all Spring for the Humming Birds to arrive and even in the rain they are beautiful, and the water drop was a bonus :)
Loving The beauty of Nature
I am always amazed at the beauty of nature and how the details are truly stunning.
From the the Cornell Lab of Ornithology web site :
A flash of green and red, the Ruby-throated Hummingbird is eastern North America’s sole breeding hummingbird. These brilliant, tiny, precision-flying creatures glitter like jewels in the full sun, then vanish with a zip toward the next nectar source. Feeders and flower gardens are great ways to attract these birds, and some people turn their yards into buzzing clouds of hummingbirds each summer. Enjoy them while they’re around; by early fall they’re bound for Central America, with many crossing the Gulf of Mexico in a single flight.
After the rain
The rain left a nice mist on my bleeding hearts, the flowers blooming are what we Minnesotans live for :)
Minnesota Abortetum Tulips
Wow what a day at the Arboretum! Uncredible color, and tulips galore!
I am a very, very, amateur photographer! I just enjoy taking pictures and learning about them. I was very lucky and after I spent 20 years with my last employer the gift was to choose something from a catalog... I chose a really nice Canon 60D! So I have been blessed to get to experiment with a great camera for a hobby I have always been interested in! I should probably take a class so I learn to do it right! LOL
